Tired of manually configuring Jenkins through its web interface? Fred not, Jenkins Configuration as Code project will make our work a bit easier. In this workshop, we will learn how to configure Jenkins by code and improve the maintenance process of Jenkins.
Users who are interested in using and maintaining Jenkins for their projects should attend this session. Participants will learn on how to configure Jenkins from code, use git version control system to track changes, and easily rollback when problems occurs.
Primarily for: Developers, Tester/test leads, Product developers, Others
Participant requirements: Participants would need to bring their own laptop with recent *nix/macOS operating system with recent Docker and Docker Compose environment installed. Windows operating system users are advised to use a recent *nix virtual machine with Docker and Docker Compose installed or ensure that its Windows native Docker and Docker Compose environment works transparently as it is on a recent *nix/macOS system. The entire workshop materials are tested only with recent *nix/macOS operating system.
